Be careful sending to someone you have not met
The most common scam pattern.
Scammers ask for money for a prize, a job, a fee, a romance, or an emergency. Money sent to a stranger is very hard to get back.
- Pause when you are rushed. Urgency is how scams work.
- Check by calling the person on a number you already trust.
- If you are not sure, do not send.
